Choosing your Minecraft community

Start with the edition and version you play, then compare survival rules, progression, and community expectations. Check whether a listing supports Java, Bedrock, or crossplay before joining.

  • Edition and connection: confirm Java, Bedrock, or crossplay support and the exact client version. A Java address alone does not establish Bedrock compatibility.
  • World rules: compare land claims, griefing policies, PvP areas, resets, and whether progression is shared or competitive.
  • Getting started: check modpack requirements, whitelist applications, starter guidance, and which minigames or survival worlds are actually offered.

List your community on VoteLadder

  1. Create an owner account, open the server dashboard, and choose Minecraft when adding your listing.
  2. Choose Minecraft in the listing form, add the public hostname, and specify the port when needed. Fill in version and platform, then use tags and the description to explain SMP, skyblock, factions, or minigames. A website or Discord link gives players a place to read your rules.
  3. Save your listing, review its details in the dashboard, and keep joining instructions and community links up to date.

Voting and integrations

Minecraft owners can configure Votifier, NuVotifier, plugin polling, or signed webhooks in their server integrations. Vote rewards require the matching server-side setup; creating a listing alone does not configure delivery.

Players can vote from a public server profile. Check that community’s reward rules separately; a confirmed vote is not a guarantee of an in-game reward.

How VoteLadder Compares Minecraft Servers

VoteLadder is built to help players compare Minecraft servers by signals that matter before joining: reachability, player activity when available, votes, reviews, tags, and owner-provided community links.

Live status and uptime

Status checks can show whether a listed server is online, how recently it was checked, latency, and uptime samples once enough checks have run.

Measured player activity

When a game probe supports it, player counts come from VoteLadder status checks rather than owner-written listing copy.

Votes and moderated reviews

Votes, monthly vote movement, and approved player reviews help separate active communities from listings that only look busy.

Tags, links, and trust signals

Tags, join addresses, owner links, and trust signals make it easier to scan for the server style and community details players care about.
