Choosing your Rust community

Check the wipe schedule, group-size limit, gather rates, and raid rules. Match the server’s pace to your available play time, and read its approach to moderation and fair play.

  • Wipe policy: distinguish map wipes from blueprint wipes, and check the schedule and timezone before investing in a new base.
  • Team and raid rules: compare solo, duo, trio, or larger-group limits, offline raid policies, and any PvE or protected zones.
  • Progression settings: review gather rates, loot changes, plugins, and kits so vanilla and modified experiences are easy to distinguish.

List your community on VoteLadder

  1. Create an owner account, open the server dashboard, and choose Rust when adding your listing.
  2. List the public Rust game hostname and game port, with region and server type for discovery. Put wipe times, team limits, and rates in the description and relevant tags. Do not put private RCON credentials in the public profile; integrations are configured separately in the dashboard.
  3. Save your listing, review its details in the dashboard, and keep joining instructions and community links up to date.

Voting and integrations

Rust owners can configure Source RCON, plugin polling, or signed webhooks through VoteLadder’s integration options. Connect the method to your own reward handling and make any conditions clear in the listing.

Players can vote from a public server profile. Check that community’s reward rules separately; a confirmed vote is not a guarantee of an in-game reward.

How VoteLadder Compares Rust Servers

VoteLadder is built to help players compare Rust servers by signals that matter before joining: reachability, player activity when available, votes, reviews, tags, and owner-provided community links.

Live status and uptime

Status checks can show whether a listed server is online, how recently it was checked, latency, and uptime samples once enough checks have run.

Measured player activity

When a game probe supports it, player counts come from VoteLadder status checks rather than owner-written listing copy.

Votes and moderated reviews

Votes, monthly vote movement, and approved player reviews help separate active communities from listings that only look busy.

Tags, links, and trust signals

Tags, join addresses, owner links, and trust signals make it easier to scan for the server style and community details players care about.
