Choosing your Valheim community
Compare progression rules, required mods, and building expectations. Ask whether the world welcomes new characters and how the community coordinates boss fights and shared resources.
- Progression pace: check the current biome and boss milestones, and whether new characters receive help or follow shared restrictions.
- Mods and access: confirm the game version, required mod set, whitelist process, and how connection details or access rules are shared.
- Shared-world etiquette: review building claims, resource sharing, portal use, and expectations for group boss fights or exploration.
List your community on VoteLadder
- Create an owner account, open the server dashboard, and choose Valheim when adding your listing.
- Provide the Valheim public hostname and game port, with version, region, and platform details. Describe the mod set, progression stage, access process, and shared-building rules. Use your website or Discord link for onboarding without publishing private access credentials.
- Save your listing, review its details in the dashboard, and keep joining instructions and community links up to date.
Voting and integrations
Valheim listings support plugin polling and signed webhook integration options. Owners need compatible server-side handling for rewards; make the setup and claim conditions clear before advertising a reward program.
Players can vote from a public server profile. Check that community’s reward rules separately; a confirmed vote is not a guarantee of an in-game reward.
Ranking signals
How VoteLadder Compares Valheim Servers
VoteLadder is built to help players compare Valheim servers by signals that matter before joining: reachability, player activity when available, votes, reviews, tags, and owner-provided community links.
Live status and uptime
Status checks can show whether a listed server is online, how recently it was checked, latency, and uptime samples once enough checks have run.
Measured player activity
When a game probe supports it, player counts come from VoteLadder status checks rather than owner-written listing copy.
Votes and moderated reviews
Votes, monthly vote movement, and approved player reviews help separate active communities from listings that only look busy.
Tags, links, and trust signals
Tags, join addresses, owner links, and trust signals make it easier to scan for the server style and community details players care about.
